A half-day course including a theoretical component and a field trip. The participants will learn how to plan and design high-quality bicycle parking facilities.

Target audience
This training is intended for anyone involved in the development of bicycle parking spaces: managers of buildings or public facilities, transportation, roadway, development, parks or recreation professionals, politicians, members of cycling organizations, etc.

Vélo Québec
Vélo Québec is a Canadian non-profit corporation (1967) that works to promote cycling for transportation, leisure and tourism purposes. For over twenty years, the organization has actively pursued research on sustainable transportation in conjunction with the development of planning tools. Vélo Québec had published its first edition of the Technical Handbook of Bikeway Design in 1992. This manual has been distributed in more than 30 countries. A new updated and revised edition has been published in 2003. The organization is actively involved in bike routes and trails connections over the borders (Conference of New England Governors and East Canada Premiers) and has been the organizer of the Vélo Mondiale Pro Bike•Velo City Conference (Montréal, 1992).
